prasiddhatayāsādhyavyavacchedasiddhāvapi sādhanasya dharmiṇo vyavacchedaḥsiddhyet tasyāpi prasiddhatvena saṃmatatvātprasiddhodharmīti vacanāt yadi punarviduṣāṃsādhyasiddhyarthaṃ dharmiṇo prayojyatvāttasya sādhyāvinābhāvābhāvādeva vyavacchedasiddhiriti mataṃtadā hetuḥ kevalaḥ kathaṃ teṣāṃ prayojyaḥ syāt sveṣṭasiddhyarthaṃ sādhyasyānabhidhāne tenatasyāvinābhāvāprasiddheḥ prastāvādgamyamānenasādhyenānuktenāpi hetoravinābhāvastāvadvidbhiravadhāryate iti cet nacaitatparīkṣākṣamaṃprastāvasyeṣṭāniṣṭayorarthayoraviśeṣātkatarasminnarthehetuḥ prayuktoyamiti jñātumaśakteḥ kimanityaḥ śabdo nityovetyubhayāṃśāvalaṃvini śaṃsaye sati hetuprayogasyeṣṭatvāt saṃdigdhe'rthe hetuvacanāditi kaiścitsvayamabhidhānāt athayadaikamukhaeva prastāvastryātmakaṃ jagat kathametaditikasyacitpraśne tadā hetustatraivāyamiti jñātuṃ śakyatvātprastāvādgamyamānena sādhyena hetoravinābhāvaḥ siddhyatyevetyapi na saṃgataṃ pṛṣṭaviparītārthehetorvacanasadbhāvadarśanāt atryātmakamidaṃ sarvamitisvayamabhīpsatāṃ tatraiva hetuprayogopapatteḥ yadipunastatra prayuktasya hetorviruddhatvaniścayāt tathā catryātmakasyaiva siddheratryātmakatvasya sādhyatvāyogātna tena hetoravinābhāvasiddhiriti mataṃ tadā tryātmakatvasyāpikutaḥ sādhyatvaṃ prasiddhasya sādhyatvavirodhātsādhanavat kasyaciddhetoratryātmakatve sādhyeviruddhatāmavabuddhyamānasya sāmarthyāt tryātmakatvesādhye samyagdhetutvanirṇayaghaṭanāttattryātmakaprasiddhatvopapatteḥ yo hyanagnau sādhyedhūmavattvasya hetorviruddhatāmavabudhyate sa tasyāgnausādhye samyagdhetutvamapi budhyata eva na caivaṃbudhyamānasya pratipādyatā ghaṭate pratipādakavat tatona taṃ prati hetuḥ kevalaḥ prayoktavyaḥ syāt atha yatpṛṣṭaṃpratipādyena tatra heturyadācāryeṇa prayujyate tadātasya praśne prameyatvāditi hetorvacane'pi saṃbaṃdhātsādhyanirddeśaprasiddheḥekanirddeṣṭuriva bhinnanirddeṣṭurapi tasya tenasaṃbaṃdhāviśeṣāt yathaiva hyekasya vaktuḥsādhyanirdeśānaṃtaraṃ sādhanasya nirdeśe tasyatenāvinābhāvasaṃbaṃdhasādhyasiddheḥ sādhyavyāptasādhanopadarśanaṃ sphuṭamavasīyate tathā pratipādyenasādhyapraśnavacane kṛte pratipādakena sādhanāmidhāne'pi bhinnavaktṛnirdiṣṭayorapisādhyasādhanayoravinābhāvāvirodhātkathamanyathaikavākyasya nānāvaktṛbhirudīryamāṇasya saṃbadhatā siddhyet tataḥ yogasyasadakāraṇavannityamityādivat sāṃkhyasya caitanyaṃpuruṣasya svarūpamityādivat satsatsaditipatravākyamanākulameva saṃbhāvayāmaḥsvasādhyārthāvinābhāvisādhanasyābhidhānāt viśeṣatadvaṃtau avayavāvāyavinau ca parasparataḥ padārthāṃtarabhūtaubhinnapratibhāsatvāt yau yau bhinnapratibhāsau tau tauparasparataḥ padārthāṃtarabhūtau yathā ghaṭapaṭaubhinnapratibhāsau tau ityanumānasadbhāvānna pramāṇābhāva iticenna asyānumānasya viruddhatvāt iṣṭaviruddhasyakathaṃcidārthāṃtarasya pratīyateghaṭapaṭayoḥ sarvathārthāṃtaratvasya sādhyasyasarvathābhinnapratibhāsatvasya casādhanadharmasyāprātītikatvāt saddravyādyātmanā tayo rabhinnatvādabhinnapratibhāsamānatvācca nanu casaddravyādyātmano'pi ghaṭapaṭābhyāṃ bhinnatvāt kathaṃ tenatayorabhedaḥ syāt abhinnapratibhāsatvaṃ vā satvaṃ hiparasāmānyaṃ dravyatvasaṃbaṃdhātdravyatvopapatteḥpārthivatvādisaṃbaṃdhātpārthivatvādivyavasthānānnadoṣaiti cet kathamasataḥ svayamadravyasyāpārthivādeśca tadatyaṃtabhinnasatvādisaṃbaṃdhādapi sadādirūpatā yuktāsvaraviṣāṇāderapi tatprasaṃgāt prāgasadādeḥsattādisaṃbaṃdhāt sadādirūpatve pradhvaṃsābhāvasyasvakāraṇavyāpārātprāgabhūtasya tadanaṃtaraṃ bhavataḥsattādiprasaṃgaḥ tasya tadāpi sattādisaṃbaṃdhāsaṃbhavāt natatprasaṃga iticettadidaṃ jāḍyavijṛṃbhitaṃ ākṣepasyaivaparihāratayā vyavahārāt prāgasataḥ sattāsaṃbaṃdhātsatve'pipradhvaṃsābhāvasya sattāsaṃbaṃdhaḥ kasmānna bhavati tataḥsatvaṃ cetyākṣepaḥ tasya sattāsaṃbaṃdhāsaṃbhavāt iti sa evaparihāraḥ kathamajaḍairabhidhīyate sādhyameva ca sādhanaṃkutastasya sattāsaṃbaṃdhābhāvaḥ sattāsaṃbaṃdhābhāvāditi kutaḥsattāsaṃbaṃdhalakṣaṇasatvābhāvaḥ sattāsaṃbaṃdhābhāvāditivā yadiḥ punaḥ prāgasatvādaviśeṣe'pi ghaṭapaṭayorevasattāsaṃbaṃdhaḥ tannimittaṃ ca sattvaṃ tathā pratīteḥ na punaḥ pradhvaṃsābhāvasya tadabhāvāditimataṃ tadā kathaṃcitsattāditādatmyāt sattādivyavahāro ghaṭapaṭayoriti naikāṃtena satvādi tato bhinnaṃ yenasaddravyātmanā ghaṭapaṭayorabhedaḥkathaṃcidabhinnapratibhāsatvaṃ vā na syātsādhyasādhanavaikalyaṃ vā dṛṣṭāṃtasya tato nadravyaparyāyorbhedaikāṃtasādhanaṃ niravadyamasti yatastayoḥpadārthaṃtaratvasiddhauśāstrīyadeśabhedalakṣaṇaśakyavivecanatvopapatteḥaśakyavivecanatvamavyatireko heturasiddhaḥ śakyeta nacāyamanaikāṃtiko viruddho vā sarvadā vipakṣevṛttyabhāvāt iti siddhatyevāto hetoḥkathaṃciddravyaparyāyayoraikyaṃ tathā dravyaparyāyayorekyaṃ pariṇāmaviśeṣāt yayostu naikyaṃ natayoḥ pariṇāmaviśeṣaḥ yathā sahyaviṃdhyayoḥ pariṇāmaviśeṣaśca dravyaparyāyayoḥtasmādaikyamityapi vyatirekīhetuḥ nanu ca koyaṃpariṇāmaviśeṣonāma yadi pūrvavināśāduttarotpādastadā vādyasiddhaḥniranvayavināśātyaṃtāpūrvotpādayoḥ syādvādināmaniṣṭatvāt athapūrvasya tirobhāvāduttarasyāvirbhāvastadāpi vādyasiddhaḥsarvathāsatastirobhāvāvirbhāvamātrānabhyupagamāt etenasvāśrayādbhinnasvabhāvaḥ samavāyāttatra vartamānaḥpariṇāmaviśeṣa iti vādyasiddhaḥ pratipāditaḥ teṣāṃtathāpyanabhyupagamāt athapūrvāparasvabhāvatyāgopādānānvitasthitilakṣaṇastadāprativādyasiddhaḥ saugatasāṃkhyayaugānāṃ tathābhūtapariṇāmaviśeṣāsiddheḥ iti kaścitsopi na yuktavādīpūrvāparasvabhāvatyāgopādānānvitasthitilakṣaṇasya pariṇāmaviśeṣasya pramāṇataḥ siddhatvāt tathā hi sarvaṃ vastuyathoktapariṇāmaviśeṣabhāk satvāt sarvathāpyapariṇāmini saugatādīṣṭapariṇāmena pariṇāmini ca satvavirodhāttadvirodhaśca arthakriyāvyāghātāt tadvyāghātaśca kramayaugapadyāsambhavāt tadasaṃbhavaścaniranvayavinaśvaraniraṃśaikāṃte deśakālakṛtakramasyanānākāryakaraṇaśaktinānātvanibaṃdhanayaugapadyasya cavirodhāt sarvathā sadātmakakūṭasthavatparasparato'tyaṃtabhinnadharmadharmimātravacca nahyatra deśakṛtaḥ kramaḥ pipīlikādivat nāpi kālakṛto vābījāṃkurādivat saṃbhavatyekasyānekadeśakālavartinora nabhyupagamāt yo yatraiva sa tatraiva yo yadaiva tadaivasaḥ na deśakālayorvyāptirbhāvānāmiha vidyate itivacanāt nanu ca kṣaṇikaikasvalakṣaṇāpekṣayā deśakālavyāptyabhāvātbhāvānāṃ mābhūt deśakālakṛtaḥ kramaḥ sakṛdekasyānekasvabhāvāpekṣayā yaugapadyavat saṃtānāpekṣayā tusyāt tasyānekasahakārikālāpāpekṣayā anekakāryakaraṇayaugapadyavat iti cenna saṃtānasamudāyayorevakramayaugapadyābhyāmarthakriyākāritvāt vastutvasiddhiprasaṃgātsvalakṣaṇasyāvastutāpatteḥ syādākūtaṃyadanvayavyatirekānuvidhānātkramaśaḥkāryotpattistatsvalakṣaṇaṃ kramaśaḥ kāryakāri yathākasyacijjāgradvijñānaṃ kramaśaḥsvapnajñānaprabodhajñānādikāraṇaṃ kiṃcittuyugapatkāryakāri yadanvayavyatirekābhyāṃ yaugapadyenakāryotpattiḥ yathā pradīpasvalakṣaṇaṃtailaśoṣaṇāṃdhakārāpanayaṃkāraṇaṃ nacaivamekasyānekasvabhāvāpattistasyatādṛśaikasvabhāvatvāt iti tadasat kūṭasthasyāpyevaṃkramākramakāryakāritvopapatteḥ śakyaṃ hi vaktuṃ śāśvatikobhāvaḥ svānvayavyatirekābhyāṃ krameṇākrameṇa vānekaṃ kāryaṃprādurbhāvayan tathā tannimittaṃ nacānekasvabhāvatvaṃtasya tathāvidhaikasvabhāvatvāt nityasya kathaṃvyatireka iti cet kṣaṇikasya kathaṃ sakalakālakalāvyāpteriti cet nityasyāpisakaladeśāvyāptervyatireko'stu nanunityādbhinnakāryasyotpattau deśavyatirekasyāpi na saṃbhavaḥ tadanutpattau tutaddeśasyaiva kāryasya sarvadotpatteḥ pratītivirodha iti cettarhi kṣaṇikādbhinnakālasya kāryotpādevyatirekābhāvastadabhāvaeva tadbhāvāt tadabhinnakālasyotpāde kāryatvavirodhaḥ samasamayavartitvātsvātmavat kṣaṇikalakṣaṇe svakālesati bhavataḥ kālāṃtare'pi kāryasyānvayavat tadā tasminnasatyabhavato vyatirekaḥ siddhyatīti cet tarhi nitye'pisvadeśe sati deśāṃtare'pi bhavataḥ kāryasyānvayavat tatrāpyasati tasyābhavato vyatirekaḥ siddhyet nacaivamanabhimatadeśasyāpi kāryasya janma prasajyatenityavādinaḥ kṣaṇikavādino'pi tadanabhimatakālasyajanmaprasaṃgāt tataḥ svayogyabhinnakālasyotpattau nityādapisvayogyabhinnadeśasyotpatteralaṃ prabaṃdhena sarvathākṣaṇiketaravādinoḥ parasparamanatiśayāt kṣaṇikaikāṃtasyatasyānyatra prapaṃcato nirākaraṇācca napūrvāparasvabhāvavināśotpādamātreṇa pariṇāmena pariṇāmisarvaṃ vastu nāpyāvinābhāvamātreṇa nityaikāntetadanupapatteḥ kūṭasthasyāvirbhāvatirobhāvotpattautadavasthāvirodhāt anityatānuṣaṃgāt tadavasthayostadupapattau tatastayorbhedakalpānatikramātbhede nityasyāvastheti vyapadeśasiddhiḥ saṃbaṃdhābhāvāt avasthāvasthāvadbhāvaeva saṃbaṃdhaiticet na tasyabhedaikāṃte sahyaviṃdhyavadaghaṭanāt etena dravyasyabhinnena guṇādinā pariṇāmena pariṇāmitvaṃ pratyākhyātaṃguṇādidravyayoḥ samavāyasyāpi bhedaikāṃtetadvadanupapatteraviśeṣāt deśābhedāttayoḥ saṃbaṃdha iticenna vātātapayorātmākāśayorvā tatprasaṃgātkālabhedādubhayābhedācca sa tayorityasyāpyanenāpāstaṃ tayoraviśvagbhāvādupapannaḥ saṃbaṃdhaḥ iti cet sa yadideśakālābheda eva tadā saeva doṣaḥ tatonyaścetsvabhāvābhedaḥ pratibhāsābhedo vyapadeśābhedo vā natāvatsvabhāvābhedaḥ saṃbhavati dravyasya guṇādeścabhinnasvabhāvatvopagamāt pratibhāsavyapadeśābhedo'pi nayuktaḥ tasyāsiddhatvāt kathaṃcidekadravyatādātmyamaviśvagbhāva iti cet syādvādamatasiddhiḥsaivāstu gatyaṃtarābhāvāt iti yathoktapariṇāmenaiva pariṇāmitvaṃ sattvasya vyāpakaṃ siddhaṃ tatastasyaiva sādhanamitisiddhaḥ pariṇāmaviśeṣo hetuḥ dravyaparyāyayoḥ kathaṃcidaikyaṃ sādhayati yathaiva hi dravyasya dravyarūpatayā sthitiḥ pūrvāparaparyāyarūpatayā tu nāśotpādau pariṇāmaviśeṣastathā paryāyasyāpi svarūpeṇātmalābho vināśaśca dravyarūpatayā tusthitiriti tallakṣaṇaḥ pariṇāmaviśeṣo'styeva tathādravyaparyāyayoḥ kathaṃcidaikyaṃ śaktimacchaktibhāvāt yayostunaikyaṃ na tayoḥ śaktimacchaktibhāvaḥ yathā sahyavindhyayoḥśaktimacchaktibhāvaśca dravyaparyāyayoriti vyatirekīheturanyathānupapattilakṣaṇaḥ sādhyaṃ sādhayati śaktimaddhi dravyaṃ śaktayaḥ paryāyāḥ pratītāeva tadbhāvaḥśaktimacchaktibhāvaḥ siddhonyathānupapattyātmako hetuḥ nacānyathānupapattirasiddhā kathaṃcidaikyamaṃtareṇadravyaparyāyayorbhedaikāṃte tadabhedaikāṃte caśaktimacchaktibhāvasyāsaṃbhavāt aśakyavivecanalakṣaṇapariṇāmaviśeṣavat tathādravyaparyāyayoḥ kathaṃcinnānātvaṃ saṃjñāsaṃkhyālakṣaṇaprayojanapratibhāsabhedātkuṭapaṭavatśakrapuraṃdarādisaṃjñābhedena kalatraṃ dārāityādisaṃkhyābhedena jñānādisvalakṣaṇabhedenatāpodyotādiprayojanabhedena spaṣṭāspaṣṭādipratibhāsabhedenaca vyabhicārī heturiticenna tasyāpi kathaṃcidbhedamaṃtareṇānupapadyamānatvātsarvasyaikānekasvabhāvatābiniścayātsaṃjñeyasaṃkhyeyasvalakṣyaprayojyapratibhāsya svabhāvabhedārpaṇāyāmevasaṃjñādibhedavyavahārasiddheranyathātiprasaṃgāttato'navadyaṃ dravyaparyāyayoḥ kathaṃcidbhedasādhanaṃ kathaṃcidaikyasādhanavat nacaivaṃvirodhavaiyadhikaraṇyādidūṣaṇaṃ pramāṇasiddhayoḥkathaṃcidbhedābhedayostadagocaratvāt kvacitsarvathābhedābhedayoreva virodhādiviṣayatayāvasāyāt nanu sa ātmā svabhāvo yasyatadārekāṃtātmakaṃ tasya bhāvastattvaṃ tasmāditisādhanadharmanirdeśaḥ yaditthaṃ na bhavati yaccitrānnabhavati taditthaṃ na bhavati ārekāṃtātmakaṃ na bhavati yathākiṃcinna kiṃcit yathācākiṃcit sarvathaikāṃtātmakaṃtattvaṃ parābhyupagatamiti trayo'vayavāḥ patre prayujyaṃtetathā cedaṃ prameyātmakaṃ cedaṃ viśvamitipakṣadharmopasaṃhāravacane catvarovayavāḥ prayoge'mīdṛṣṭāḥ tasmāttathānekāṃtavyāpīti nirdeśe paṃcāvayavāḥ patravākyasya kasyacit ṣaḍādayopi caivaṃpratipādyāḥ pratipādyāśayavaśāt syuḥ teṣāmiyattayācāvadhāraṇasyābhāvāt tanna sādharmyadṛṣṭāṃtasyavaidharmyadṛṣṭāṃtasya ca gamyamānasyāpi vacaneṣaḍavayavāḥ syuḥ yathānityaḥ śabdaḥ kṛtakatvātyatkṛtakaṃ tadanityaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ yathā ghaṭaḥ yatpunarnityaṃtadakṛtakaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ yathākāśaṃ kṛtakaśca śabdaḥtasmādanitya iti atraiva sādharmyopanaye vaidharmyopanaye cakṛtakaḥ śabdaḥ akṛtakastu na bhavatīti prayujyamānesaptāvayavāḥ syuḥ tasmādanityo nityastu na bhavati itinigamanavacane'ṣṭau anityaḥ śabdo na tu nityaḥ itipratijñādvayavacane navāvayavāḥ syuḥkṛtakatvādakṛtakatvābhāvāditi hetuprayoge daśāpi śrūyaṃte gamyamānāvayavaprayoge punaruktadoṣābhāvāt pratijñādyavayavaprayogavat pakṣadharmopasaṃhāravadvādurāśaṃkāvyavacchedasya phalasya sadbhāvāviśeṣāt sarvatra niṣphalatvāyogāt tathāvidhapratipādyāśayaviśeṣasaṃbhavācca yataścaivaṃ tasmātsādhyāvinābhūtasya sādhanasyopadarśanaṃ pramāṇasiddhaṃtadabhāve sādhyaprasiddheḥ paṃcāvayavādyupadarśanaṃ tu pareṣāṃ na pramāṇasiddhaṃbodhyānurodhamātrādetadupadarśanāt evaṃ ca naikāṃtavādināṃprasiddhāvayavaṃ vākyaṃ saṃbhavati yat patrākhyāṃ labhetataduktaṃ </p><span type="ref-block" n="41 śabdaḥ bāhyeṃdriyajñānajñānaviṣayatvātya evaṃ saevaṃ yathā sparśa tathā ca śabdastasmānnākāśaguṇaḥ śabdaḥ iti nānyathānupapattiśūnyaṃ sādhanaṃ gaganaguṇatve śabdasya tadanupapatteḥ paramaṃmahatvādivat ghaṭākāśasaṃyogādinā vyabhicārīdaṃ sādhanamiti cennabāhyeṃdriyajñānaviṣayatvāsiddheḥ atīṃdriyayorivātīṃdviyeṃdriyakayorapi saṃyogasya svamatavirodhāt nacānyatkiṃcitsarvagatāmūrtanityaikātmakaṃ dravyaṃbāhyeṃdriyagrāhyasvabhāvaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ yena vyabhicārīdaṃsādhanaṃ syāt tataḥ paṭavanna tathā śabdaḥ taduktaṃ pūrvavarṇaśravaṇāhitasaṃskārasya pratipatturaṃtyavarṇaśravaṇānaṃtaraṃ tadabhivyaktautathārthapratipattereva siddheḥ sphoṭaparikalpanā vaiyarthyāt pratītyatilaṃghanācca kramaviśiṣṭavarṇaviśeṣebhyaevārthapratītisadbhāvāt teṣāmeva padavākyarūpatvopapatteḥ nacāgamamātrāt padavākyasphoṭapratipattistasyapramāṇyasiddheḥ na cānyadgrāhakamasti
